Tours in Birmingham
Birmingham has much to offer children and it makes sure that the kids
will learn a thing or two in their time spent in Birmingham. A great place
to bring the kids is to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens where they can
marvel at the pagodas or even chill out on the benches and take in all
the scent of the roses. From rock pools to garden walks, glass houses,
a cottage garden with a small museum, where one can admire small bonsai
trees, and the place will definitely entertain the kids in the fresh healthy
outdoor air.
The most famous park in Birmingham is at the Cannon Hill Park, which
is just off Pershore and Edgbaston Road. With its own bandstand and in
recent years, the park has staged some great concerts. The place also
boasts a boating lake, as well as the Midland Arts Centre, which houses
its own cinema, a theatre, and displays regular exhibitions. A nature
reserve also resides here, with lots of spiders and snakes and various
other animals on show.
The puppet theatre is held in the park during the summer months. What
is also recommended is to hire a bike and ride through this great park
and around the Rea Valley, which will make you feel new again. The park
also houses a smart cafe where one can order lunch while you watch the
world go by. There are great views of the boating lake, and if you are
really prepared, you can bring your own picnic to the park and enjoy the
relaxing feeling. The
recommended spot to enjoy a picnic is either on one of the provided picnic
tables, or else near the Botanic Gardens, which has its own warm suntrap.
